Glad your small circle is doing well :) I think it’s important to remind ourselves we’re only capable of changing that circle. We should be alive to all the feels for the big circle, but we should try not to identify so strongly with things that are out of control (and are also always changing).

Thanks! And yes, agree, I was not thinking about control and influence when I started writing, but when the graph popped up, it reminded me of that distinction -- and for some of us at least, the importance of being able to make that distinction. I think you phrase it well that can fall into a habit of "identifying so strongly" with things we cannot control. On the other end of the spectrum, we can too easily relinquish our power within our circle of influence, though even then, it's good to remain mindful that pursuing goals is only that -- and the outcome will be what it will.

Much like the circle analogy suggests, we can't control others' actions, but we can always choose our reactions.
